The hotel checkout time is 10am, so after we had our japanese breakfast ,i decided to make full use of the facility to update my blog. So we started late at 10 am,still following route 2,the weather was cloudy but the rain held up.We were a little confused as i try to avoid the not so interesting route 2. Sherco started using his garmin gps but still eventually we met up the route 2 again, frustrating really. Asking direction from the locals seem so hard, not to say they are not helpful, but they will take a long time and still you didn't get the answer.Left with no choice,we had to follow the bike path which have many undulating surface and lots of stopping at the traffic lights.Thought of using another longer road but with my stomach still not 100% recover,we stick to route 2 which is safer and Sherco like it very much. We stop for lunch at a curry house restaurant and we both ordered the same menu of beef curry rice for 880 yen each. After a very full satisfactory lunch,my stomach  is feeling better as i started eating some solid stuffs,a good sign as i am slowly getting used to the water and foods here.Time past real fast and we realised we only did about 40 km and its already 4pm.Time to look for camp site, looking for one is really not difficult here even in the city. We found a rather abandon park with overgrown, but the wonderful parts of it is, there is a running tap for us to cook and bathe, and just walk across the street,a 24hr convenience store for anything you need. Wonderful.....

Our first hotel stay, with the owner

Curry house for our lunch stop
Bike path that we had to take cos too dangerous on the shoulder
Very tempting to divert to this but too far
shy japanese school girls
Japanese houses in Tukoshima
Vast empty land by the river
Way that leads us to the campsite
Sherco doing washing at the public tap
Setup our tents
And that is my dinner-tuna curry chicken, fried chicken cubes, sausages and japanese rice

  1. Good to know your stomach re-adjust its limit to suit what's coming in through your mouth :)
Most places in Japan they willing to share the space or water if you need to use it. Hope you enjoy to the fullest with no worry on your stomach. Sherco was a good companion who willing to bear with you....salute him.

    1. Yes, rain could make the trip harder to complete. You may have to spend more days due to rain. At this season you cannot avoid rain just hope it don't happen too much on the route you plan to ride.
