Early start this morning at 5.45 without our usual breakfast cos' we had not enough water to cook. The weather was surprisingly good,cloudy with very mild wind and most refreshing is no rain.We really enjoying the morning ride and is flat all the way to Beppu City, a city known for its famous Onsens.Beppu is facing sea on the east and the mountain on the west.Most of the Onsens are located on the hill ,but many also found in the heart of the city,even a sand bath is located on the beach,amazing! With the help of my laptop,i google search for Beppu backpacker to look for a cheap hostel to stay,that is my promise made to Sherco, so that we can re-organise ourselves after going thru' a non stop ride and camp for a week. We badly needed a good wash not only our stuffs but also our smelly bodies. It wasn't easy to locate the Spa Hostel Khaosan Beppu,even with the help of a Google map smartphone. We approached one man and he kindly call up the hostel with us providing the telephone number,but he is not leading us instead another friendly retired English teaching old man,aged 80 lead us by walking some 200m to the doorstep of the Hostel.Thank you,Arigato Gozaimas Yuki san. After enquiry at the counter,a double decker private room with toilet,hot shower and aircon cost 2800 yen and another 200 yen for the bike for a total of 3000 yen per night per person.The hostel staffs were very friendly and we loved the room,the big toilet good for our cleaning.The facilities include: kitchen,common area,24h natural onsen bath,and free internet.After our hot shower and cleaning,we went to the city "You Me" dept store to do some shopping where i had a late lunch on Tepanyaki fried me for 590 yen.Earlier i also bought a japanese but made in China raincoat for 500 yen and a wimax charger for 1374 yen.A bit of over spending today, well,,,well,,,well,,,you save some here and you spend some there. Tomorrow hope the weather stays and we for sure will want to visit those famous Onsens.
